DREAM GEM: Check the Facts!

When getting an interpretation of a symbol, always check Holy Scripture FIRST…pursue the Ancient Path. You will be surprised at how much is in there! One easy place to go to search is www.blueletterbible.org .

Look under their SEARCH tab and you can either search in the Bible for all the scriptures using that word or you can use the LEXICON search, which will give you the actual meaning of the word according to the Greek, Aramaic and the Hebrew.

Remember, too, that you can search similar words. For example, if you cannot find Cologne in Scripture, then look for scriptures with FRAGRANCE, AROMA, etc.

It is imperative that we grow up and be more accountable when getting interpretations from others as well. Well-meaning people can give interpretations that sound really good, but are completely against what Scripture teaches.

For instance, if someone says a symbol means financial prosperity, don’t take their word for it! First, keep the symbol in the context of the dream. Then, Look it up yourself! Also, pray and ask God to confirm it. Discover if you caused yourself to dream the dream or if it was from God or the enemy. We can lead ourselves astray by dreaming things we want to dream.

Some say Men’s Cologne can mean emotional or financial stability…I ASK YOU HOW DO YOU GET THAT?? Don’t you think unstable men are able to wear cologne? Do you not think poor men could wear cologne? It’s more likely that cologne has to do with FRAGRANCE and if you look in Scripture, fragrance often means “Pleasing to the Lord” resulting from humility, obedience, righteousness, etc. [John 12:3; 2 Corinthians 2:14-16; Ephesians 5:2; Philippians 4:18]. If the Cologne did not smell good, then look up things such as STENCH or offensive ODOR. These are usually metaphor for the opposite of humility, obedience, sacrifice, etc.

Be careful, because people can mix correct interpretations with incorrect ones and as the saying goes, “If someone put just a little poop in the brownie mix, would you eat them?” Sorry to be blunt, but that’s what a lot of interpretations do…they ADD to the meaning something that doesn’t belong there! The enemy does that…he speaks a little truth and either leaves something important out or adds something that doesn’t belong. Adding presumptuous interpretations can seriously lead people astray, especially with interpretations that give people hope or direction about things such as money and relationships.

Remember, there are very few absolutes – God is ALWAYS good, satan is ALWAYS evil, JESUS is the ONLY Son of God, etc. Look at everything else as brainstorming and pray about everything. The Holy Spirit will not testify to anything that is not true…if it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t!

BEWARE of Prophets that spell Prophet – P.R.O.F.I.T.

Praying this morning and feeling a strong unction to say to you, “WAKE UP TO FALSE PROPHETS AND TO WRONG MOTIVES”. There is a difference between prophecy that encourages and prophecy that puffs someone up. A difficult warning or Word from God can be very encouraging because it can save you from horrible mistakes! TRUE PROPHETS LOVE YOU ENOUGH TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH.

DO NOT BE CONFUSED – AN ENCOURAGING WORD FROM GOD IS NOT ALWAYS EASY OR NICE. SOME PROPHETS SPELL PROPHET, P-R-O-F-I-T.

The church is running rampant with prophetic people simply puffing you up and afraid to tell you the truth. BEWARE and grow in discernment (the ability to tell what is true) – Ask God for discernment and the COURAGE to hear the truth.

Especially when we like someone, it’s difficult to believe they could be wrong. Just because someone is nice, does not mean they are accurate. And just because someone is inaccurate doesn’t mean they’re false, necessarily. There have been people I didn’t particularly like, but they were accurate and likewise, I’ve been guilty of hosting someone in the past who claims to be a prophet who appeared humble – only to discover their motive was money and platform and they just wanted to be made known. I had prayed and asked the Lord, but did not wait long enough for His answer. He revealed to me my motive for wanting to help this person was good, but I always need to WAIT ON THE LORD to tell me who is trustworthy. I was guilty of promoting this person without knowing them. BY THE GRACE OF GOD, I WILL NEVER MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN! I’m still dealing with the aftermath of that poor decision.

I cannot tell you how many dreams I’ve had with the Lord showing me the severe lack of discernment in the body of Christ right now and how they run after every prophet they think will give them a Word that will make it “better” or “easy” or tell them what they want to hear, when the word they really need is GROW UP, REPENT, OBEY, FORGIVE, AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER. There’s an infestation of itchy ears that only hear what they want to hear.

STOP RUNNING AFTER EVERY “PROPHET” and every prophetic word. If we ran as hard after God’s Word as we do prophetic words from men (& women), we wouldn’t need prophets – The Lord Himself will speak to you! I’ve been guilty of wanting a prophetic word, but I will say that the times they’ve been astoundingly accurate is when they came unsolicited and were a direct answer to prayer.

I’m not saying we don’t need prophets (I have a prophetic gift, too), but study the prophets in the Bible…they went to the people with warnings from God…they didn’t hold house meetings where they emailed or handed out flyers and promised everyone an “encouraging prophetic word” and the true prophets in scripture didn’t promise everyone in attendance they would be rich and famous.

Some who prophecy are afraid of not being accepted and are ultimately man pleasers – and SOME are false prophets.

MANY FALSE PROPHETS ARE PUFFING YOU UP! FALSE DOES NOT MEAN THEY DON’T HAVE A TRUE GIFT…FALSE PROPHETS ARE THOSE WITH FALSE MOTIVES! (usually money or they are building their platform for recognition and fame). Many prophetic people spell prophet, p-r-o-f-i-t. Many are spiritual prostitutes…selling their gift and those hosting them and profiting are spiritual pimps wanting to make money off of someone elses prophetic gift.

I’ve known people who have waited hours and hours to be prophecied to and those are often the same people that don’t even spend that many hours in the Word or even in church – they want the magic pill that will keep them from having to press into the Lord for themselves or a word that will agree with what they wanted to hear.

Redirect your effort and trust God to bring a prophet to you if you need one – God will not share His glory with anyone! Better yet…ASK GOD HIMSELF FOR A WORD!! HE LOVES YOU more than any “prophet” can or will.

Why God Speaks in Metaphor & Symbols

Dreams are often parables that contain hidden treasure if you’re willing to search for it. The condition of your heart directly affects your spiritual insight and understanding. Are you distracted or captivated by the gift God may be giving you in your dreams? …It may reflect the condition of your heart.

Jesus only spoke in parables to the unbelieving because He wanted them to have to apply their heart. He says in Matthew 13:13-15, This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. 14) In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: ” ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. 15) For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’

Jesus goes on to bless those that listen and apply themselves to understand what He is saying. Notice, too, that He explained what the parables meant to the disciples who asked (those who want to know!). To be a disciple means to study and follow Jesus. When He speaks symbolically, it means there is hidden treasure to be discovered and those who search it out will find reward! [Matthew 7:7; Luke 11:9; Hebrews 11:6]

Many people will dismiss dreams and give the credit to pizza or burritos. Let me ask you a question…Even if you don’t believe God speaks in dreams, who created you the ability to dream? Do you think God does anything without purpose? What if God uses dreams to symbolically speak to you and also to have your conscience speak to you? While not all dreams are from God, it is my personal belief that God created our conscience to utilize dreams to speak to us [more in a later blog about how Science backs that theory up]. Do you want to miss out on any treasure God may have for you?

Jesus compares valuable insight and wisdom to pearls. He also commands us not to cast them before swine…representing people who do not value what is important to God and have no use for divine knowledge or understanding [Matthew 7:6; 13:45-52]. God has many pearls He longs for you to have…will you search for them and value them?

When you learn to think symbolically, you will discover all types of hidden treasures, not only in your dreams, but more importantly, in Scripture and in your everyday life! You will begin to hear and see God communicating with you everywhere everyday when you begin to apply your heart to understand the meaning of dreams, visions, trances & natural circumstances.

To think that God does not still speak symbolically or metaphorically through dreams is to deny His nature all through scripture – from Genesis to Revelation. God uses symbols to reveal attributes and to cause you to apply your heart to understand. Did you know there are over 8,200 figures of speech used in Scripture? THAT IS TOTALLY AMAZING TO ME! Whenever symbolic speech is used in scripture, it means to STOP AND TAKE NOTICE AND LEARN SOMETHING…or why not just speak literally? Again…God uses the things you understand to explain the things you don’t.

The entire Hebrew culture celebrates and communicates through symbolic expression in their feasts, their traditions and even every letter of their alphabet is a symbolic picture of something!

I personally believe metaphor and symbolic ways of communicating is God’s preferred speech because in order to understand, you have to want to understand and you have to apply your heart to understand.

God says to Love the Lord your God with ALL of your heart, soul, and strength [Deuteronomy 6:5, 11:13, 13:3]. How can you do that unless you apply your heart fully to understand? When you have to figure out symbols or metaphor, you have to meditate and involve your your mind, your will, your experience, and your emotions and only then you can begin to understand what God is saying.

God is speaking to you today and desiring you find hidden treasure…will you seek Him with all your heart or will you squander your riches? It is my prayer that you will consider the condition of the soil of your heart and value how God may be communicating with you in dreams and also in everything around you. Apply your heart to understand what He may be saying and you will be rewarded Above & Beyond all you can ask or even possibly imagine ~ [Ephesians 3:20; Hebrews 11:6]

Interpreting Holidays in Dreams

Have you ever had Christmas in a dream and wondered, “What on earth is that here for?” It’s a very common occurrence to have holidays in your dreams, especially Christmas. I have been writing my dreams down daily for the past 10 years. One of the most difficult things to interpret, it seems for me anyway, is dates and numbers.

Out of the 30,000+ dreams I’ve personally documented, ONLY ONE dream had a literal date in it – and even in that dream I was told it was literal so there wasn’t guessing involved. The only thing we had to do was wait it out to see if it was true and it was exactly three years later. However, the event taking place was very metaphorical in my dream and I would have NEVER been able to guess what it was outside of God specifically telling me, which He didn’t. I say that to remind you that dreams are MOSTLY metaphorical, no matter how much something seems literal or how much you hope and wish it was. There are many reasons why that is which we will discuss at a later time.

Holidays in dreams usually represent what that specific Holiday represents. For instance, Father’s Day may be about your dad, about being a dad or it may be about God (Your Heavenly Father). Mother’s Day is usually about your mom, being a mom, or the Church (Because mom’s can represent the church). Valentine’s Day is about love. Thanksgiving is usually about being grateful and thankful. Halloween is usually about witchcraft (which can simply be rebellion or emotional manipulation. The Fourth of July (for America) is about FREEDOM (usually in Christ), and Easter is usually about salvation.

The most common holiday symbol of all is Christmas. The most common symbols for Christmas are Pine Trees and Presents. Christmas almost always represent something to do with the spiritual gifts God gave you. Christmas is celebrated as the birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World. While we technically know he was probably born in September, if you trace scripture and the Course of Abia that is mentioned (which is a specific designated time), you will discover Jesus was most likely conceived on December 25th. I’m not a Jewish scholar, but I’m told conception for Hebrews is what they consider your real birthday anyway. All that to say, Christmas is still about Jesus and God giving the ultimate gift – His one and only Son. Because Christmas is about gifts and dreams are metaphor, the gifts dreams refer to are metaphorical spiritual gifts. Gifts like prophecy, preaching, love, teaching, serving, praying, etc.

Most people tend to interpret Christmas as a negative symbol because of all the commercialism. I even had someone say the tree is traced back to idolatry (because they used to carve images out of wood). I believe they carved images out of other types of trees, not evergreen/pine trees. If you look up evergreen trees in scripture, it represents EVER GREEN (alive forever, always beautiful). One of the instances of Pine Tree means a “Firm Enduring Tree”. The definition of a Fir Tree (an evergreen tree) is listed in the Hebrew Lexicon as a NOBLE TREE, STATELY, and was the material used in the Temple. Trees often represent people in dreams – even in scripture. The pine tree/evergreen actually represents JESUS, therefore, it is fitting we use a Pine Tree to celebrate! Jesus also DIED on a tree. Pine trees are also a hidden word play, meaning PINING for the Lord – which means to yearn deeply or long for. Presents can also be a word play for God’s PRESENCE 🙂

With all that said, always pray and ask God about each symbol in your dream. There always seems to be an exception to the rule because God is a very personal God and each dreamer is different. Holidays, for instance, could also be related to a memory you have or it may be referencing a time-frame for something coming to pass, though rare.

Just remember dreams are mostly metaphor, so try to ask yourself what each symbol may be representing. You also have to take into consideration your own culture. Many of you live in other parts of the world and have many other holidays not mentioned here. The point is to remember that they are most likely symbolic for something else.

PROPHETIC DREAM: Pedestrians Always Have the Right of Way

I had a dream two nights ago and I was walking on a strip of nice grass and a girl – about 13, was on a bike and was coming toward me. We had a confrontation and she kept telling me I should move because she had the right of way and I kept telling her I had the right of way. I knew bicycles didn’t belong on grass and also that pedestrians have the right of way.

We had a major confrontation and she insisted I was wrong and I firmly got in her face and told her – YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR LICENSE BECAUSE PEDESTRIANS ALWAYS HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY. (I knew she would be dangerous in a car if she thought she always had the right of way) I knew in the dream that when I said that to her, it was a prophetic utterance from the Lord. I had the fear of the Lord and understood the severity of what He was saying to her.

I believe this dream is a reflection of ministries (girls can often represent ministry) who are in rebellion (age 13 – 13 almost always represents rebellion in a negative context) because they are not putting the consideration of others before themselves. They are demanding to do things their own way, but ultimately, it’s in their own power that that are making demands on the people (bicycles can often represent doing things in your own power) and they will fail. (not get their license).

The Lord has given me many warnings for ministries and most of them have to do with money and not taking the inability of others to pay into consideration. In the USA, in most states we can get our license at 16. One of the meanings for the number 16 is love. In essence, because the girl was 13 and not 16, she didn’t have her license. Love puts others before itself. It considers them as more important and love does not demand its own way. I feel what God was saying is that until you learn to love and put the needs of others before yourself, you will not be fully released to do ministry – you will fail (cars can sometimes represent ministry because it’s the “vehicle” you use to distribute the gospel. Cars can also represent motives (motors – and motives are what motivate you to the direction you’re heading.) And your motive must be love, not finances. The bicycle may even represent those who are PEDALING (selling) ministry for financial gain. The strip of grass I was on was narrow. I feel this represents the narrow path. You don’t ride bikes on grass and she was also going the wrong way. I feel this represents people who think they’re on the straight and narrow, but in reality are headed in the wrong direction and they will be stopped.

Please understand that I’m not against people charging for things to cover their cost (even at that, I prefer a “suggested” amount and not one to be demanded – I think if God ordained it, He will make sure it’s paid for). It’s when it becomes exorbitant that I feel God hates it – when it’s “Above & Beyond” what it cost. If people are not giving, that is between them and God. I would rather err on the side of walking in love and putting the needs of others first, than to err on the side of fleecing the sheep and having God turn my table over.

Revelation God gives us is not a commodity to use for personal gain/benefit. He gives it so we will share it! Even our spiritual gifts are not for our benefit, but for the benefit of others. Jesus turned over the tables of the money changers WHO WERE IN THE TEMPLE – those INSIDE the church who have the motive of making money. Freely we have received, freely we are to give – and that is what builds up the body of Christ and makes our army stronger! Good soldiers will also see the needs of the teacher and sow into good ground – they will also stand on that ground with you and fight along side you and the Gospel spreads quicker!

DREAM GEM: Antique Furniture

I have found furniture most often to represent wisdom and understanding in dreams. Proverbs 23:3-4 says Through wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches. So furniture filling a house could represent knowledge.

Antiques are from the past and are valuable. Therefore,  antiques are most often valuable lessons, knowledge, wisdom and understanding learned from the past to treasure and apply for the future. They may represent an inheritance if it was given to you in the dream. If it’s your own (not given to you), then it’s something you’ve discovered, such as wisdom, knowledge, understanding, spiritual gifting, talents, etc.,  and it’s valuable to pass along to others.

Sometimes the description and condition are more important than the object itself. Is it beautiful, old, needs work, in excellent condition, lots of details, useful, forgotten, broken, needs to be rearranged, etc. This may describe a person, emotions, ways of thinking or a situation. The words you use to describe something – it’s condition, etc., will usually have scripture with them. For instance, if you used the word beautiful a lot to describe a piece of furniture in a dream, then go to a bible website [such as biblegateway.com, blueletterbible.org or biblestudytools.com] and search the word “beautiful” and see what scriptures come up. You’ll be surprised at how specifically God will speak to you this way!

Antiques that have been restored or need to be may also represent things like “restoration” that has taken place or needs to (for emotions, relationships, etc.) One time I had a “chest of drawers” in a dream (it’s a tall dresser with just drawers) – I was shown things in the drawers and stuff on top that needed to be taken off. It turned out the drawers were stuff that were stored in my heart and the stuff on top was “things I wanted to get off my chest!” lol

Sometimes the description and condition are more important than the object itself. Is it beautiful, old, needs work, in excellent condition, lots of details, useful, forgotten, broken, needs to be rearranged, etc. This may describe a person, emotions, ways of thinking or a situation.

Also take into consideration what piece of furniture it is: Is it a chair, a dresser, a table, etc. Consider it’s purpose. Chairs can often represent opinions (where you “sit” on a subject or issue), dressers can often be people’s heart, mirrors are a reflection of something or someone reflecting on something, tables, depending on their shape can represent relationships, money, contracts, meetings, etc.

David & The Lion

Just as Jesus would use parables to convey spiritual truths to people, so the way of dreams often go. God will often use dreams to show you deep spiritual truths that relate to your personal life. If I may, let me give you a sneak peak behind the proverbial curtain into my life recently so that you can understand one of the reasons I feel the Lord gave me this dream.

For the past 5 months I have been going through one of the most difficult battles in my spiritual walk. Without disclosing all the boring specific details, I experienced betrayal by someone in ministry that I was very close to and gave my life to for the past year, helping them in every way possible – physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, and relationally. This person not only betrayed me, but worse…was lying, slandering, gossiping, being a false witness, stealing, trying to destroy my reputation in ministry, and maliciously/viciously conspiring with others to create further attacks against me, including praying against me and pursuing law suits. I’m not exaggerating when I say this all happened without a days notice. I had sacrificed my life for an entire year and every dollar of my ministry to help them with theirs – even sacrificing a promotion and a free all-expense paid trip to Hawaii (which God redeemed by causing me to win a drawing for free tickets to Hawaii!) These are other lessons I learned for a later time! lol Can anyone say “BOUNDARIES”? ROTFL!

During the ferocious battle as the attacks kept coming, I would pray earnestly to the Lord and seek His direction on how to handle each situation that sought to lop my head off. So many nights, I literally cried myself to sleep. In my desperate pleas for help and wisdom, God would always direct me to be still, be quiet, and give Him room to vindicate me…simply trust Him. (Wait…did I say, “simply”…Note to self: Simple does not mean easy.)  My fleshly soul was screaming as loud as it could to leap at any and every opportunity to “Set the record straight”…after all, I had truth on my side, so why sit still and be quiet!!?? Even though I’ve taught the lesson of not defending yourself to others on numerous occasions, I had never been given such an extravagant opportunity to prove I believed it 🙂

Most of you reading this have gone through similar situations and I would venture to guess all of you have been betrayed. My prayer is that this dream will give you the epiphany eye opening experience it gave me about how handling betrayal properly has purpose and it promotes you to the next spiritual level ~ it’s part of your spiritual boot camp before you get released to a higher realm in God!

HERE’S THE DREAM – (I teach my students to give their dreams 3 titles.) For this dream, I titled it, “DAVID & THE LION”; “The Lion Prepares You for Goliath”; and “Getting the Picture!” – I will show you later how summarizing effective titles are the quickest way to interpreting your dreams.

I was standing in front of a HUGE open storage area that had several levels. It was made of silver metal and seemed to be quite full. The shape of the building reminded me of a moving trailer for an 18 wheeler – only one side was completely open – as though a huge door was open and slidden all the way to the left and would be closed soon. I could see there were multiple levels of this building. I looked up and saw a hard-working man on the 2nd level putting a HUMONGOUS lion away that he had killed – it was incredibly heavy and I had never seen a lion that large before. I would guess the lion was about 12′ long and 7′ high. The lion’s head alone was about 6’x3′. It was incredibly heavy for the man to put away and I could see the throat of the lion had been cut 2/3rds of the way. The throat had been cut from right to left. Any further and the head would have come completely off. I thought to myself he should remember this next time difficulties come up. As the man put the lion away, I was remembering in the Bible how David killed the lion and the bear before he killed Goliath, the giant.

Even though the man had just put the lion away in storage, I asked him if he could get it back out so I could take a picture with my cell phone. The lion had been so unbelievably large and unusual, that I thought it would be amazing to have a picture to show others. He was delighted to do so. He went and got the lion back out even though he was exhausted and allowed me to take a picture with my cell phone. He then put the lion away again – I could tell it was incredibly heavy and wore him out. As he was putting the lion away, I began thinking about David and the lion and picturing how the actual attack must have looked while it was happening. I could see it play out in my minds eye and thought, “Wow! Not sure how David actually survived that – he must have gotten on the inside by the lion’s heart & belly to be able to kill it.” I saw a big open field where David must have been tending the sheep just before he left to go kill Goliath. On the far side, at the edge of the field was the woods. The lion came from the woods and as it raised up to attack David (on it’s hind legs), David got on the inside of the lion and killed it by getting to his heart and then cutting his throat with a big knife. I just kept thinking to myself, “wow”…I had never seen a lion as big as the one this guy killed and I knew he killed it the same way David did. [END OF DREAM]

Whenever I interpret a dream from the Lord, it seems that no matter how much I seem to extract from the dream, it continues endlessly to reveal itself on deeper levels. I will attempt the interpretation as of today, but please understand the Lord may continue to reveal things about the dream for days, weeks, months, and even years. In addition, God may choose to show YOU specific things in this dream for your own situation that are not a part of mine. Simply allow God to reveal whatever it is He wants to show you. I will give a brief overview interpretation and then break it down line by line in detail.

BRIEF INTERPRETATION OF THE DREAM: The dream reveals that a fierce attack came and because it was handled correctly – like David would have handled it…allowing God to deal with the enemy – there was victory. The dream shows I’m “getting the picture” of how to handle vicious attacks and to remember this in the future when bigger things come. The way to handle it is to get to their heart (which allows conviction to come and their attack will usually stop), and simply being truthful and waiting on the Lord (the knife represents the truth against their verbal attacks (cutting their throat would be cutting off the verbal attacks with the truth). The dream also lets me know that God sees that the attack I was going through was HUGE (the lion was huge – and the attacker was a huge LIAR – they were “lyin’ ” [lion] ) and that I need to remember to handle situations like this in the future just as David did and also to tell others about it.

EXTENDED INTERPRETATION OF THE DREAM: (I’m re-posting dream, line by line. Interpretation will be in italics.)

I was standing in front of a HUGE open storage area that had several levels.
I’m being shown something HUGE. It’s something that has many levels of learning and a lot was learned and stored up for the future. I also believe that it represents the rewards that are stored up for the righteous. [Proverbs 13:22 A good [man] leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.; 1 Samuel 24:19 (Saul speaking to David) “For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him get away safely? Therefore may the LORD reward you with good for what you have done to me this day.”; Matthew 6:6 “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who [is] in the secret [place]; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. (I HAD CRIED IN SECRET TO THE LORD…AND THE STORAGE UNIT IN THE DREAM WAS OPEN SO ALL COULD SEE.) Luke 6:35 “But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.” There are many verses about being rewarded for doing the right thing. Here are just a few: Ruth 2:12; Job 34:11; Psalm 19:9-11; Proverbs 11:18; Proverbs 25:21-22; Matthew 5:12; Matthew 16:27; 1 Corinthians 3:8; 3:14; Colossians 3:24; Hebrews 10:35; Revelation 11:18; 22:12.

It was made of silver metal and seemed to be quite full.
Silver usually represents understanding and/or redemption. I believe it reveals I have been given understanding about many things (many things in the storage area) and that the Lord will REDEEM everything! I also think there may be word-plays for the metal (or steel)…perhaps it means learning things about those who “meddle” (metal) in the affairs of others and those who steal (steel). I also found it incredibly interesting that if you look up the Hebrew and Greek words for “Full”, it is an array of meanings that mean many things that fit the rest of the interpretation for this dream…things like recompense, reward, righteous, peaceable, satisfied, weary, full of labor, and so much more! Make sure to search the scriptures for words that you use in God-given dreams. Here’s a link for the numerous listing of the word “Full” in scripture – FULL.

The shape of the building reminded me of a moving trailer for an 18 wheeler – only one side was completely open – as though a huge door was open and slidden all the way to the left and would be closed soon.
18 usually refers to established blessing or cursing. In the case of this dream, the context was positive, so I think it represents “moving” on (like a “moving” truck) and that many blessings are stored up as a result of this attack. 18 is also often an indication or reference to Psalm 18 and Psalm 118, which are both about God coming against your enemies 🙂 I also think that it reveals that this was a huge opportunity for me to grow if /when I make the right choices (doors can represent opportunities and choices) and that this issue will be coming to finality and be completely “closed” soon (It was time to close the doors).

I could see there were multiple levels of this building.
This indicates there was a lot to deal with on many levels and also that I learned lessons on many levels. I also remember thinking that each level was like a platform. Platforms can indicate being given influence with others.

I looked up and saw a hard-working man on the 2nd level putting a HUMONGOUS lion away that he had killed – it was incredibly heavy and I had never seen a lion that large before.
Looking up would be looking to the Lord for help. The hard-working man was a representation of me working hard through this enormous battle and it also represented all the literal hard labor and work I had done for this person. The HUGE lion was the huge liar and all the attacks I had dealt with. Putting it away, meant storing it in my heart and mind for a later time to remember how to handle big situations. There was emphasis on the enormity of the lion – which represented the enormity of the battle and the level of difficulty it was and that I overcame it! A guy many times can represent authority, so I believe the reason I was portrayed as a man in the dream was because I was walking in authority when I did things God’s way. The 2nd level was also like a platform. I believe going through this battle will give me a new platform in ministry – increased influence, and also that the 2nd level was so full it would be time to move on to the 3rd level – PROMOTION from God! (His number is often 3 for The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit). I believe the 2nd level also meant that what I was dealing with was a spiritual attack from the 2nd heaven – which is the demonic realm. (The first heaven is earth [the air, sky, celestial], the 2nd heaven is presumably the demonic realm by deduction [Ephesians 3:10-11, 6:12-13 . By deduction, we know that where Jesus is seated in Heaven, is above where the demonic realm is – Ephesians 1:20-21], and the 3rd heaven is HEAVEN (GOD) [2 Corinthians 12:2]. The heaviness was the weightiness or magnitude of the issues I dealt with. I had never experienced an attack to that magnitude before.

I would guess the lion was about 12′ long and 7′ high. The lion’s head alone was about 6’x3′.
Numbers have significance in scripture. The number 12 usually represents governmental order (spiritual authority) and the number 7 usually represents completion. I had dealt with a serious matter (HUGE) with someone in spiritual authority (12) and the matter was finally complete (7). I believe the lion’s head represented the person and their authority – they had a “big head”, which is an saying meaning “prideful”, and 6 is the number of labor or man and man’s ways. 3 may have represented they belonged to God – a believer/Christian. According to E.W. Bullinger, it may also signify human capability – thought, word & deed…everything man thinks, says, and does, therefore, perhaps it indicates everything this person though, said and did that was evil evil was overcome and the matter is now complete.

It was incredibly heavy for the man to put away and I could see the throat of the lion had been cut 2/3rds of the way. The throat had been cut from right to left.
Again, I believe the lion being heavy means this person was a heavy weight in the spirit (for good or bad), it was a heavy or weighty situation to have to deal with and very difficult and perhaps there’s a word play there, too… heavy weight may represent it was hard (heavy) to WAIT (weight) on the Lord to vindicate me [There’s tons of scripture for waiting on the Lord!]. A knife would be how I handled the situation with truth, which in turn cut off the effectiveness of the voice of the liar. From right to left I believe is a word play meaning, I was “right” (correct) to leave (left) and also that I came from a place of “being right”…TRUTH. I also think that 2/3rd represents the numbers 2 and 3. Two usually means a matter has been established (a done deal/something definite) and again, three would probably indicate by God (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit). The fact that there was 1/3 left, would most likely indicate to leave to God what’s remains (One meaning God who alone rules, Three meaning His complete nature and “left” would indicate what remains).

Any further and the head would have come completely off.
I think this may represent the fact that I didn’t take things as far as I could have. I think I could have demanded this person be removed from ministry and taken it all the way until they were, but I chose instead to simply speak facts and truth and not engage in a full assault and allow God to make the decision. (Let me just say the old me would have absolutely pushed it all the way UNTIL they were fully removed because I used to think that was justice or righteous indignation. The Lord is teaching me to always allow HIM to handle that part!) A deeper study of David and Saul will reveal to you how David had every opportunity to kill Saul and because of the fear of the Lord, he chose instead to trust God to handle Saul [Found in 1 Samuel]. Ultimately, Saul lost his anointing, was tormented and was killed. David was promoted and rewarded for his righteousness! I was very much like David in this scenario, in that I protected this person, defended them, fought for them, provided for them and they turned on me. Like David, I cried out to God, “if this were an enemy I could handle it, but it’s a friend!” [Psalm 41:9; Psalm 55:12-14]

I thought to myself he should remember this next time difficulties come up.
David had no fear of Goliath because he had already seen God’s faithfulness in prior situations with the lion and the bear. The key is that David gave the glory to God and realized it was not in his own strength – it was the Lord who delivered him [1 Samuel 17:37]. Conquering two fierce animals gave David the courage he needed for any fight with the enemy, because he trusted God’s faithfulness. Jesus did the same thing when He was betrayed, mocked, accused, etc. He fully trusted that God would make all things right in the end. An important lesson to learn from David and the lion, too, is that he only killed the lion for 2 reasons: 1. The lion had hurt the sheep, so David was protecting the innocent; and 2. He only killed the lion in self defense! David did not take any offensive, aggressive action that provoked the attack. We have to be innocent in an attack for the Lord to be able to defend us. God will not defend or justify sin.

As the man put the lion away, I was remembering in the Bible how David killed the lion and the bear before he killed Goliath, the giant.
[1 Samuel 17:34-37] I knew God was comparing the scenario to David and the lion in scripture and I needed to study David. He was showing me that using the same strategy David used is what caused me to be victorious.

Even though the man had just put the lion away in storage, I asked him if he could get it back out so I could take a picture with my cell phone.
I knew this was a recent (something I just put behind me – put away, just as the man put it away) and a rare thing to have gone through and been victorious over and that I needed to “get the picture” and remember to do things God’s way in the future when people come against me.

The lion had been so unbelievably large and unusual, that I thought it would be amazing to have a picture to show others. He was delighted to do so. He went and got the lion back out even though he was exhausted and allowed me to take a picture with my cell phone.
I believe this shows my willingness to endure the situation even though it was exhausting. It also indicates I need to “get the picture” for how to talk to God about the situation instead of people (cell phone is communication with the Lord vs. a land line, which would be communication with others). It also suggests that I should share this with others so they, too, can get the picture and encouragement of how it’s an incredibly BIG DEAL to God when you allow Him to defend you. The guy being willing and delighted to do so, I believe reveals that when you do things God’s way – and with a good attitude, the outcome will make you victorious and you’ll experience great joy! I also believe it means when you do things God’s way, He is overjoyed with you and victory always comes! [Next week’s blog will be about “The Joy of Lord is Your Strength” – based on Nehemiah 8:10]

He then put the lion away again – I could tell it was incredibly heavy and wore him out.
I believe this is an indication to now put this incredibly exhausting situation behind me and move on! It may also reveal that the situation has now been “exhausted” and no further action is required.

As he was putting the lion away, I began thinking about David and the lion and picturing how the actual attack must have looked while it was happening. I could see it play out in my minds eye and thought, “Wow! Not sure how David actually survived that – he must have gotten on the inside by the lion’s heart & belly to be able to kill it.”
I believe the strategy throughout this experience with how vicious this other person was, was for me to remain loving, kind and quiet so that the Holy Spirit would be able to convict them in their heart. They needed to see me as a person and not an enemy to be able to see their own actions as wrong. God’s ultimate plan is ALWAYS redemption! He’s always more concerned that His children are all restored and right with Him than who is right or wrong. He desires both sides of a situation be restored. When we engage in battles, more often than not, it’s love and kindness that will win the battle. Fiercely being combative only causes people to harden their hearts and justify their sin. Fighting head on only causes offense and puts stumbling blocks in the way of forgiveness and repentance. We must follow in the path Jesus took and He NEVER defended Himself because He trusted that God was just and perfect and would make everything right in His Father’s own time. We also must remember that Jesus still has not been fully vindicated and won’t until the end of the age when He returns! If He trusts the Father and is still waiting, so must we!

I saw a big open field where David must have been tending the sheep just before he left to go kill Goliath.
One of the reasons I believe I was allowed to go through this battle was because the sheep/lambs needed to be protected! (The sheep are believers who follow a Christian leader – lambs specifically indicate innocence) I believe God needed someone to be on the inside of the situation and handle the situation properly so that things would finally be brought into the light and people would be protected from further misleading and spiritual abuse. I had witnessed some of this while I was involved with this person. In the events recounted in 1 Samuel 17:34, it even states that the lion had taken a lamb from the flock and had it in its mouth and that’s why David attacked the lion and the bear. One thing to notice is that it was a lamb. Lambs usually represent innocent believers or Jesus Christ – who is also innocent. That reveals to me that there will be times when we, as leaders, need to speak up and stop the attacks on God’s flock – those who are innocent. There may also be times when we have to defend our belief in Jesus Christ or defend His honor…which is what David did when he killed Goliath!

On the far side, at the edge of the field was the woods.
Me seeing this on the far side, I think represents I saw this coming for “a long” time…a ways off! (on the far side). I also think that it was not in the woods, but in the field meant that hidden things (the lion in the woods) needed to be brought out into the open and dealt with (the lion coming out and dealing with it).

The lion came from the woods and as it raised up to attack David (on it’s hind legs),
I believe this person came from the proverbial woods (a difficult place – in trouble financially, emotionally, etc.) and the fact that the lion fought by “raising up”, represented the fact that this person attacked me because of the things they’ve been through (also a meaning for the woods) and how they were “raised up or reared up” as a child/adult. Even in 1 Samuel 17:34-37 it refers to the lion rearing up! This person had experienced much trauma in their life (which was why I was eager to help them, but I should have had better boundaries). I can’t help but think there are also so many parallels about the book, “HINDs Feet on High Places” by Hannah Hurnard. (The HIND legs of the lion).

David got on the inside of the lion and killed it by getting to his heart and then cutting his throat with a big knife.
I believe I had to go through this experience because God needed someone “on the inside” to witness what was going on to save those that were innocently getting hurt, but also, as already stated, getting to the heart is the main desire of God. I’ve already discussed what the knife and throat was above.

I just kept thinking to myself, “wow”…I had never seen a lion as big as the one this guy killed and I knew he killed it the same way David did. [END OF DREAM]
I truly have never witnessed someone who has lied so severely and done so many other horrendous things in ministry. They were the “BIG LYON” – big liar and someone who attacks others…specifically other believers (the sheep/lambs). I know now the way to handle them is to let God do it and simply speak the truth when given an opportunity. [THE END OF INTERPRETATION]

Major Shift

On June 3rd, 2013, I awoke from a dream knowing it was from the Lord and I was supposed to share it with the body of Christ. I believe it is a prophetic dream for the time we are in right now.

Whenever there is a dream from God, there will ALWAYS be scripture for it. I will include some scripture I feel belongs to this dream with my interpretation of the dream. Dreams continually unfold if they are from the Lord and we all know in PART – so I will share my interpretation at the end, but please take this to the Lord and inquire of Him what it means for yourself. Learn to discern and discard what doesn’t feel right and apply what does feel right.

The Word of God says to tell a prophetic dream as a dream (implying don’t add to it or take away from it – It will speak for itself) Jeremiah 23:28 “The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What [is] the chaff to the wheat?” says the LORD …so I will first post the dream as I remember it and then share my interpretation of it to the best of my understanding at this time, hoping you will do the same for yourself.

When I teach dream interpretation, I encourage dreamers to give their dream 3 titles that sum up the essence of the dream. Doing this will lead you to the main point of the dream. Here are my 3 titles:

1. MAJOR SHIFT
2. SPIRITUAL SHAKING
3. UNBELIEF IN THE CHURCH

There was a building and it was not very deep from front to back and there was no roof. The walls did not go very far up.  It was one long room (horizontally). On the left wall there was a window. Looking out the window, I believe I saw a train waiting to take off…I think people were getting on the train and we were watching them.

A mountain filled this room and the tip of the mountain went above the clouds to the sky. I climbed the mountain, way above the clouds and reached almost all the way to the tip of the mountain, there was a violent shaking like an earthquake, both on the earth and in the heavens. The tip of the mountain split perfectly and vertically in half – and the split was smooth in the center and it had shifted just like the plates in the earth shift when there’s an earthquake. I saw the right side of the mountain get elevated up 2-3 feet higher and the left side was lowered 2-3 feet (for a distance between the 2 of 4-6 feet total).

I embraced the mountain and wrapped my arms around the mountain as it shook violently. I knew  some people had let go and fell to their death. I knew the shaking was the Lord. It was the scariest thing I had been through, but it was also the most exciting thing I had experienced! I kept hanging on as it shook. It finally stopped shaking and I understood this was the spirit realm and that a huge shift had just taken place!

As I carefully climbed back down the mountain, I had to go through the clouds. As I went through the clouds, I couldn’t see because of the water vapor forming the clouds…it was misty. I did get through it and got to the bottom back inside the building.

My mom was there and I began telling her what just happened and I was interpreting each part of it for her. I told her a huge shift just happened and explained how the tip of the mountain shifted 2-3 feet on both sides and I explained it was like when the plates shift in the earth when there’s an earthquake. She said, “No, in reality the earth plates only shift 2-3 inches not feet!” I understood in reality that IS what happens, but I was trying to convey this was not talking about the earthly realm, I was talking about the spirit realm and I know it was real because I just experienced it!! She was it total unbelief that what I was saying was true and disregarded what I said, thinking I was exaggerating. <END OF DREAM>

MY INTERPRETATION OF THE DREAM:

THE ABBREVIATED INTERPRETATION: There has been a major shift in the spirit realm and God is shaking all that can be shaken to reveal the hearts and motives of people and to expose sin and unbelief. Those who cling to righteousness will not be moved and they will be promoted. Those who do not walk in righteousness will be demoted and you will see a significant difference between the righteous and the unrighteous in the church. God is also dealing with serious unbelief in the church. There is a major move of God that is about to happen and our choices will decide if we get to participate in it or not.

THE DETAILED INTERPRETATION AND SCRIPTURE: (I’m reposting the entire dream to break it down for you as I understand it at this time.) Interpretation found between these marks: < > [THE IRONY IS THAT WHILE I’M TYPING THIS UP, THE SONG THAT IS PLAYING IS “UP TO THE MOUNTAIN” (THE MARTIN LUTHER KING SONG…and what’s ironic about that is he’s famous for his speech “I HAVE A DREAM” !! lol) ]

There was a building and it was not very deep from front to back and there was no roof. The walls did not go very far up.  It was one long room (horizontally) .  <The building represents the church and what is going on INSIDE the church. God always judges His people first. [1 Peter 4:17 For the time [has come] for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if [it begins] with us first, what will [be] the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?] I feel the reason the building wasn’t very deep is that the area of the church God seems to be dealing with right now is those that are NOT DEEP in His Word or pursuing righteousness. Horizontal also represents the earth, as opposed to vertical, which is the Lord…from heaven to earth. The wall not going very far up may represent that the church in general is not reaching up higher in righteousness or continuing to build God’s Kingdom…they are comfortable with where they are at.>

On the left wall there was a window <Windows are usually symbolic for something God is trying to show you.>

Looking out the window, I believe I saw a train waiting to take off…I think people were getting on the train and we were watching them. <Trains often represent a move of God. They can also be symbolic for God trying to TRAIN us in something. The train hadn’t left yet, which would indicate there is still time to get on board with what God wants to do. It’s a choice each of us have to make.>

A mountain filled this room and the tip of the mountain went above the clouds to the sky. <The mountain would be the mountain of the Lord and also righteousness – IN THE CHURCH (the mountain was IN the building) [ISAIAH 2:3, MICAH 4:2 Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem; ZECHARIAH 8:3 “Thus says the LORD: ‘I will return to Zion, And dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, The Mountain of the LORD of hosts, The Holy Mountain.’ ]>

I climbed the mountain, way above the clouds and reached almost all the way to the tip of the mountain <One thing to note is that I was alone climbing the mountain. It can be VERY LONELY walking the path of righteousness – even many in the church will ridicule you. When God speaks to me about dream interpretation stuff, He often uses the word “tip” to give me “tips” or insight into spiritual matters. I also think a tip is considered a “point”…I think this could be God conveying a serious point, point out something to us and also the point may be a “tipping point”…a turning point.>

there was a violent shaking like an earthquake, both on the earth and in the heavens. <God often uses earthquakes in scripture for judgment. [Haggai 2:6 “For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 2:21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth] >

The tip of the mountain split perfectly and vertically in half – and the split was smooth in the center and it had shifted just like the plates in the earth shift when there’s an earthquake. <Vertical would indicate of the Lord…from Heaven to Earth. Read later about the plates…>

I saw the right side of the mountain get elevated up 2-3 feet higher and the left side was lowered 2-3 feet (for a distance between the 2 of 4-6 feet total). <The right side would stand for those walking in RIGHTeousness and the left side would indicate those that have LEFT righteousness for their own ways. I feel like we are at a HUGE “tipping point” (the tip or point of the mountain) and God is shaking and shifting things in the spirit realm and promoting the righteous and demoting those who walk in unbelief or disobedience on the earth. I feel there will be a clear distinction between those who have God’s favor and those who do not. [Psalm 75:6-7 For exaltation (promotion) comes neither from the east, Nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge:He puts down one, And exalts another.]  I feel some of you may even experience church splits, splits of friendships and other relationships and you are baffled and wondering why. I believe it’s because things are being shaken and hidden motives and agendas are being revealed. Though it be painful and scary, I believe it will also be the most exciting time yet because God is promoting those who withstand the shaking. This is the time to get real and stop justifying and making excuses! Examine your own hearts – Confess your sins, your hidden motives, your participation in gossip and slander and scheming against others. Allow God to shake things up in your own life so you can deal honestly with them. 2-3 Feet would probably have significance for the numbers 2, meaning something that is “established” and 3, meaning of the Lord – FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT. When pressing into why the contrast between feet and inches, I felt it had to do with authority since there are 12 inches in a foot and 12 is the number for governmental authority.>

I embraced the mountain and wrapped my arms around the mountain as it shook violently. <Embrace the shaking in your own life! The purpose is to promote you if you withstand it. To embrace the mountain also means to embrace holiness and righteousness and the ways of the Lord because HE is the Mountain. Cling to HIM.>

I knew  some people had let go and fell to their death. <I believe this is both literal and metaphorical. I believe we are entering into a time where God is not out of mercy, He is out of time and must begin to judge the house of God first. I believe there will be some who literally die because they refuse to walk in obedience. I also believe it’s metaphor for some “missing the train”…the move of God and they will watch others walk powerfully in it, wishing they had clung to righteousness instead of compromise, hypocrisy, and sin. [Job 34:20-27 20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand. 21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings. 22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. 23 For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God. 24 He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead. 25 Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed. 26 He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others; 27 Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:]>

I knew the shaking was the Lord. It was the scariest thing I had been through <It was the Fear of the Lord and His wrath against sin>, but it was also the most exciting thing I had experienced! <Promotion from God and increased favor!> I kept hanging on as it shook. <remaining steadfast!> It finally stopped shaking and I understood this was the spirit realm and that a huge shift had just taken place! <There has been a MAJOR shift in the Spirit Realm.>

As I carefully climbed back down the mountain <be careful to not think of yourself too highly…humble yourself and watch your ways and He will lift you up. [1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.]>, I had to go through the clouds.

As I went through the clouds, I couldn’t see because of the water vapor forming the clouds…it was misty. I did get through it and got to the bottom back inside the building. <I believe this speaks of many of us going through times where we know God is working (I knew the clouds were water, which can represent the Spirit), but we can’t see what He’s doing specifically and the way is not clear. I believe as we continue on in faith, we will make it through and see it was the Lord. I also believe God obscures things sometimes to get us to search for Him and also things are obscured for our good so we don’t get into pride as He deals with our enemies. [Proverbs 25:2 [It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [is] to search out a matter. Proverbs 24:17-18 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; Lest the LORD see [it], and it displease Him, And He turn away His wrath from him.] I also believe mist can be a word-play for MIDST. I was in the cloud and could not see where I was going, but could see it wasn’t fog, it was simply water vapors…and I knew water was of God. I think many of us have been, are going through now, or will go through things and we can’t see the purpose of it, but we know God is in it. The encouragement is [Psalm 138:7 Though I walk in the MIDST of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.]

My mom was there and I began telling her what just happened and I was interpreting each part of it for her. <Moms usually represent the Church. This was instruction for me to share this dream with the church and help them interpret it.>

I told her a huge shift just happened and explained how the tip of the mountain shifted 2-3 feet on both sides and I explained it was like when the plates shift in the earth when there’s an earthquake. <Earthquakes are often used in scripture to represent the Lord. [Judg. 5:4; 2 Sam. 22:8 “Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations of heaven quaked and were shaken, Because He was angry. ; Ps. 77:18; 97:4; 104:32] Also, earthquakes are a result of built up stress and usually happen on a FAULT…FAULT could be indicating sin that has built up and now God has to deal with it. Interestingly, in my research of earthquakes, look at this wording:  Slip on faults that define the plate boundaries commonly results in earthquakes. Several styles of faults bound the plates, including thrust faults along which plate material is subducted or consumed in the mantle…WOW!! Let me share some possibilities this may give insight to: perhaps it’s revealing that we “SLIP” into sin (FAULTS) which affect proper spiritual “BOUNDARIES” which in turn cause God to have to deal with it and shake things up. I also have met WAY TOO MANY in ministry who have been CONSUMED BY THEIR MANTLE and began to slip into pride, presumption, lording over others, excessive travel, greedy for money, etc. – of which God has given me other warning dreams to address those issues which I have published. It reveals a lack of proper spiritual boundaries and remembering humility and righteousness.>

She (mom) said, “No, in reality the earth plates only shift 2-3 inches not feet!” I understood in reality that IS what happens, but I was trying to convey this was not talking about the earthly realm, I was talking about the spirit realm and I know it was real because I just experienced it!! <I feel this reveals people in the Church not thinking their sin is as bad as it is or that God is moving as mightily as He is. Scripture also says the invisible realm (which is the spirit realm) is MORE REAL than the visible realm, so just because you can’t see what’s happening in the Spirit, be careful not to discount the Word of the Lord. [Romans 1:20-21 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.]>

She was it total unbelief that what I was saying was true and disregarded what I said, thinking I was exaggerating. <This is a severe warning about unbelief. Unbelief is associated with hardness of heart, rebellion and missing out on God’s promises! Remember the train in the dream? Unbelief will keep you from experiencing God’s amazing promises and a major move of God! [Hebrews 3:7-19 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness, Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years. 10 Therefore I was angry with that generation, And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways.’ 11 So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15 while it is said:

“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”[b]

16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? 17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.]

TAKE NOTE: I held on to the mountain in the dream and could not let go…this verse says to hold on and remain steadfast! His wrath and the fear of the Lord is the shaking – the earthquake. WILL YOU HOLD ON TO RIGHTEOUSNESS OR COMPROMISE? My prayer is that we all wake up and begin walking at higher levels of intimacy and righteousness (which go hand-in-hand…you cannot say you’re intimate with God and not walk in righteousness).

Soul Dreams

We often wonder where dreams come from. One source of our dreams is our own soul.  I believe scripture reveals that dreams can come from the body, soul, your own spirit, the demonic realm or God. We will just briefly mention soul dreams in this blog. Our soul is comprised of our mind, will & emotion. We can often cause ourself to dream things our mind is focused on, our will wants desperately, or our emotions severely influence.  This is documented on the ancienct Hebraic scrolls in Jeremiah, chapter 29 and verses 8 & 9.  It says,For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Do not let your prophets & your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which YOU CAUSE TO BE DREAMED.  For they prophesy falsely to you and in My name; I have not sent them, says the Lord.” (emphasis added)

God is clearly pointing out that, not only are there false prophets and diviners, but that there are those who dream things they caused themselves to dream.  He is making a clear distinction that He did not give these dreams and where they came from.

We have to be cautious when interpreting dreams that we take into account that the dreamer could have caused themself to dream something they want.  Dreams from God Himself will ALWAYS have scripture references that will agree with the dream.  That doesn’t mean the scripture will be verbatim mentioned in the dream, but that the message is one God has already given in His Word.  This is one thing God showed me and confirmed to me.  He NEVER contradicts His nature or His Word.  We will teach you how to discover dreams that come from God in upcoming articles and Dreamcasts.

“Dreams are often a reflection of the soul, revealing the inmost part of the heart.”   Teresa Ward

How God Uses Music to Speak

Ever wake up with a song stuck in your head?  Or have you had a dream with a song in it?  I used to blow off song lyrics stuck in my head when I awoke and chalked it up to an annoying interference that I couldn’t seem to get rid of.  After studying dreams and the seer gift, I’ve discovered how profoundly God uses music to speak to us.

Ancient scrolls reveal that all of creation speaks of God and we will stand before Him without excuse and we will not be able to say we didn’t know He was speaking (Romans 1:20).  After discovering hidden treasures in the way He speaks, I have found He uses everything to speak to me.

When I started paying attention to the songs that were in my head, either when I awoke, when I was in a dream, or anytime they provoked me to pay attention, I discovered God was speaking in profound ways.  Many times I would pray before going to sleep at night and the lyrics in the song when I awoke would be a direct answer or specific direction for me.  Other times I found my spirit would be worshiping Him with a song or that He would be lavishing His love on me.  One example is one morning I had several dreams that revealed I was discouraged and saddened about something and awoke on two separate occasions to hear the lyrics “you can’t escape my love” by Enrique Iglesias and another Christian song which I cannot remember the title, but the lyrics were “you are a child of mine”.  It’s difficult for us to truly believe how much God passionately loves us and the great lengths He will go to express His love to us. How incredibly cool to have a God who is so fun and creative.

Many of you have shared with me how instrumental (no pun intended) music has been in hearing from God.  I encourage you to pay attention to those songs that are vying for your attention and no longer dismiss them. They could be offering you encouragement, direction, warnings, or the love you need for the moment. God speaks in all of creation and we will stand before Him without excuse.
